Which preparation step should I plan for?
Arrange the food as directed and check that the pan or basket has enough space.

Additional recipe notes
For the most caramelization, put the lined baking sheet in the oven while it preheats so the sprouts start to crisp as soon as they hit the pan. Give the sprouts plenty of space on the pan so they roast instead of steam. For a double batch, use two baking sheets. For crispier edges, broil the sprouts for a minute or two at the end and watch them closely. To make them without brown sugar, use coconut sugar instead. I haven’t tested maple syrup in this glaze yet. To save time, buy pre-trimmed Brussels sprouts. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat them in the oven at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) or in the air fryer for a few minutes.
Storage & reheating safety
For cooked, perishable leftovers, refrigerate within 2 hours (1 hour above 90°F), using shallow containers for prompt cooling. Keep the refrigerator at 40°F or below, use refrigerated leftovers within 3–4 days, and reheat hot leftovers to 165°F, checked with a food thermometer. Follow any shorter package limit.
These are general safety limits, not a tested storage or freezing recommendation for this particular dish. USDA leftovers guidance · Safe cooking temperatures
