Additional recipe notes
Fridge: Store leftover chicken and Ritz cracker casserole in an airtight container up to 4 days. Freezer: You can freeze this casserole in an airtight freezer safe container. I recommend adding a piece of plastic wrap to the top of the casserole before putting the lid on and freezing it. Thaw in the fridge overnight before heating. Reheat leftovers in the oven for about 10-15 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, until hot throughout. If you are doing a small portion and don’t want to heat up the oven, reheat these leftovers on the stove top or in the microwave.
Storage & reheating safety
For cooked, perishable leftovers, refrigerate within 2 hours (1 hour above 90°F), using shallow containers for prompt cooling. Keep the refrigerator at 40°F or below, use refrigerated leftovers within 3–4 days, and reheat hot leftovers to 165°F, checked with a food thermometer. Follow any shorter package limit.
These are general safety limits, not a tested storage or freezing recommendation for this particular dish. USDA leftovers guidance · Safe cooking temperatures
