A few quick notes
1. Fit the bottoms snugly
Slice the rolls horizontally and arrange their bottom halves close together in the pan before adding the filling.
2. Spread the filling evenly
Distribute turkey and provolone over all the roll bottoms so the sandwiches get a fair share before the tops go back.
3. Cut before brushing
Run a knife between the assembled rolls before coating the tops, making space for extra sauce to work down between them.
Get to know the ingredients
Sliced turkey
Freshly sliced deli turkey and packaged slices both work. Thin slices are preferable for filling the rolls.
Provolone slices
Fresh deli slices or pre-sliced provolone both work here; layer them evenly across the turkey before replacing the roll tops.
Finely chopped parsley
Fresh or dried parsley is allowed in the glaze. Keep it finely chopped so it mixes through the butter and mustard.

Review ingredients in your pantry before anything is added. Meal plans use your household size; grocery-only additions use the servings selected above.
The last little job
Look for melted cheese
Bake until the roll tops are golden and the provolone has melted, then bring the warm sliders to the table.
A little more help as you go
Brush into the gaps
Coat the tops evenly with the butter Dijon mixture, then guide any extra glaze down into the spaces between rolls.
Save in portions
Separate leftovers into meal-sized portions and refrigerate airtight for three to four days, or freeze for up to a month.
A few questions you might have
Do the rolls have to be Hawaiian rolls?
Plain white or wheat dinner rolls are options too. Either can hold the same filling.
Can I use honey in the glaze?
Yes, you can use honey in place of the white sugar. Mix it with the other glaze ingredients before brushing.
What if I don't have Dijon?
Spicy mustard or yellow mustard can also go into the butter mixture at the same stage.
Can the glaze use unsalted butter?
Yes, unsalted butter is included as an option. Melt it before mixing with the mustard, sugar and parsley.
How do I warm up leftover sliders?
Try reheating in the microwave in thirty-second increments. Store the leftover portions in an airtight container first.
Any more cooking tips?
Substitutions: Kings Hawaiian rolls – You can also use plain white dinner rolls, or wheat dinner rolls in this recipe if you prefer. Turkey deli meat — You can use freshly sliced turkey from the deli counter or pre-sliced meat found in the refrigerated section. I prefer thinly sliced either way. A fun addition, is to use peppered turkey breast to add a little more of a kick to these sliders. Provolone cheese sliced — Again, either freshly sliced from the deli counter or pre-sliced in the cheese section will work equally well. For the Glaze Butter – Unsalted can also work. Sugar – I use white sugar to create this honey mustard type sauce because sugar is easy to pour and mix, but you could use honey for great results also! Dijon mustard – In a pinch I have used both spicy mustard and yellow mustard with good results. Parsley – fresh or dried can be used, just make sure it is finely chopped. How to Store: To save leftovers, separate into meal sized portions and then place in an airtight container and store: in the refrigerator for 3-4 days in the freezer up to a month How to Freeze: These turkey cheese sliders are great to make and freeze ahead for a busy night or to give to a friend. Follow the instructions in the post to ensure they stay fresh when freezing. How to Reheat: This can be reheated in the microwave in 30 second increments. How to Scale: You can half the recipe by using 1 loaf of Hawaiian rolls, an 8×8 pan etc.
Storage & reheating safety
For cooked, perishable leftovers, refrigerate within 2 hours (1 hour above 90°F), using shallow containers for prompt cooling. Keep the refrigerator at 40°F or below, use refrigerated leftovers within 3–4 days, and reheat hot leftovers to 165°F, checked with a food thermometer. Follow any shorter package limit.
