Additional recipe notes
Dough : Homemade dough offers superior taste and texture, but you can also use store-bought pizza dough. If the dough is sticky , use a bit of olive oil on your hands while handling it. Don’t overbake; aim for a golden crust to preserve toppings and texture. Toppings to try: Spinach, bell peppers, roasted squash, corn, or fresh figs. Add meat like prosciutto, pepperoni, or sausage for extra protein. For a white pizza variation, use soft goat cheese as the base. Swap goat cheese with feta, mozzarella, or ricotta if preferred. Finish with fresh basil or arugula for an herbal touch. If you don’t have a food processor, whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium-sized bowl. Rub in the butter with your hands until the mixture resembles a coarse meal, then gradually add the milk as directed, mixing to form a soft dough.
