Additional recipe notes
Use a small cookie scoop to form mixture into equal sized brownie balls. If the edges of your brownies have hardened, don’t use them. You want a soft, fudgy mixture. Milk chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate chips both work as coating. Melting wafers work too. Feel free to leave plain or top truffles with sprinkles, drizzled chocolate or extra brownie crumbles. To store: Will keep in fridge for up to 1 week if stored in an airtight container or bag. To freeze: Place in freezer bag or container and store in freezer for up to 1 month.
Storage & reheating safety
For cooked, perishable leftovers, refrigerate within 2 hours (1 hour above 90°F), using shallow containers for prompt cooling. Keep the refrigerator at 40°F or below, use refrigerated leftovers within 3–4 days, and reheat hot leftovers to 165°F, checked with a food thermometer. Follow any shorter package limit.
