A little planning before the week begins
Set yourself up for the week
A little look ahead 1
Have the wraps’ cooked chicken ready before starting their avocado mixture. The listed preparation time does not include cooking raw chicken.
A little look ahead 2
The sausage dinner uses heavy-duty foil packets on a preheated grill. Include the cooling time before opening the hot packets.
A little look ahead 3
Slice the primavera vegetables before boiling pasta and keep some pasta cooking water for combining the finished dish.
A little look ahead 4
Salt, rinse and drain the cabbage as its salad recipe directs before adding chicken, almonds, cranberries and dressing.

A few details for this menu
Use ingredients across dinners
Zucchini is shared by pasta primavera and cashew chicken. Onion is used in the grilled packets and cashew chicken, while the pasta uses red onion.
Cooked chicken is counted for both the wraps and final salad. Raw chicken breast for the stir-fry remains a separate grocery requirement.
Lemon juice appears in the wrap mixture, pasta and salad dressing; check that combined amount before buying more.
Make the plan work for you
For a different meat-free dinner, choose the existing Black bean quesadillas instead of the chicken wraps. They use a skillet, beans and tortillas; update the grocery list for the whole replacement recipe.
A couple of everyday questions
Can I move the dinners around?
Yes. Put the meals on the days that suit your week, and plan purchases or freezing around those dates. Moving the same dinner keeps its ingredient needs; changing the recipe changes the shopping list.
What does this plan cover?
There is one dinner for each of 5 days, planned for 2 people. Any named sides belong to their listed dinners. Add breakfast, lunch and snacks separately; extra leftover portions are not assumed.
If you save a cooked portion
Keep the storage details close.
Buy cooked chicken for each planned use or manage it within its refrigerated storage window; do not assume the first day’s chicken will remain available for the final salad.
Keep chicken salad and cooked-chicken wraps chilled until serving. Refrigerate perishables promptly, including after outdoor meals.
Refrigerate cooked leftovers promptly in shallow containers and use within 3–4 days. Reheat leftovers to 165°F; the schedule does not extend their storage life.
