Family Pantry

Delete your Family Pantry account

You can request deletion of your Family Pantry account and associated personal information through the website or by email. You do not need to install the Android app to make a request.

Delete through your account

  1. Open your pantry on the website and sign in with the account you want to delete.
  2. Open Profile & settings and choose Delete account. You may be asked to sign in again to confirm ownership.
  3. Read the household notice and confirm deletion. If the service asks you to finish account deletion, retry that step so both the pantry data and sign-in account are removed.

In the Android app, Household → Account settings & deletion opens these website controls.

Request deletion by email

Email [email protected] from the address associated with your account, with the subject “Family Pantry account deletion request.” State that you want your account and associated personal data deleted. We may need to verify account ownership before acting. Do not send your password.

What is removed

Account deletion removes the sign-in account, personal preferences, family membership, invitations addressed to you, terms acceptance records, ratings, import quotas and your household activity records. If you own a shared household, deleting your account also deletes that household and its shared recipes, meal calendar and groceries for all members. If you are a member, the remaining household’s shared data stays available to its other members.

What may remain

Opaque account identifiers can remain as deletion tombstones to prevent in-flight requests from restoring deleted data. Limited administrative audit references may remain for security and catalog integrity; technical records and backups may remain for operational and security purposes, as explained in our privacy policy.

Downloaded information on your devices

An offline device may still hold a previously downloaded copy. Clear Family Pantry’s app storage or uninstall the app on devices you control to remove that copy and any unsynchronized changes. Signing out alone preserves the downloaded copy for that account.

You can also contact [email protected] about access, correction or deletion of particular personal information.
